Market News & Headlines >> White House Denies RFS Changes Planned

The White House on Tuesday afternoon denied that President Trump planned to issue an executive order changing rules for the U.S. Renewable Fuels Standard as was earlier reported by the Renewable Fuels Association.

White House spokeswoman Kelly Love said  "there is no ethanol executive order in the works."

Even after the White House denial, RFA Chief Executive Officer Bob Dinneen stuck by his statement, telling Reuters News Service that there is "certainly something in the works, but they're not going to confirm it until they are ready to roll with it." He declined to identify who in the Trump administration contacted the association.
