Market News & Headlines >> Corn-for-Ethanol Use Fell Slightly in September

September U.S. corn-for-ethanol use was down 4.3% from August, according to the monthly Grain Crushings and Grain Co-Products Production report released by USDA on Monday afternoon.

The drop in corn-for-ethanol usage was largely because August contained one more day than September. September corn-for-ethanol averaged 14.25 million bushels per day, a modest reduction from the August average of 14.42 million per day.

USDA pegged Distillers’ Dry Gains with Solids (DDGS) production for September at 1.907 million short tons, down 2.7% from August.
