The February U.S. soybean crush was down about 5.84 million bushels or 3.6% from a month earlier, according to Friday’s USDA Fats and Oils report. 

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service put the February crush at 154.62 million bushels, down from 160.46 million in January. The estimate was closely in line with trade estimates that averaged 155.00 million bushels in a range from 150.00-156.20 million. 

Friday’s report pegged February 29 processor stocks of crude soyoil at 1.880 billion pounds, up 9% from stocks of 1.724 billion pounds at the end of January. Processor soymeal stocks dipped 10.3% to 330,057 short tons at the end of February versus end-January stocks of 368,063 tons.
